LATIDOS - Miguel Millo
OCTOBER 2019
Latidos is an exhibition that brings together the most recent work of the artist Miguel Milló. His large-format pieces and meticulous detail are obtained through a complex process that makes each creative session a ritual art. Milló generates atmospheres of mysticism and spirituality that make his work a unique style. The main characters in his images are dressed in beautiful and delicate ornamentation made of various materials that come from the earth.
The artist's hand can be seen in each fixed image that he concretizes, recreating dreamlike figures capable of transmitting the emotions they interpret. Our artist and his vision of the world of natural abundance that surrounds him is the motive to produce a course of images where beauty is constructed in order to enjoy it, but also invites reflection on issues of identity and origin, generating visual dialogues that question, and to which the artist sincerely and eloquently responds: "We are all the same seed and we are made of the same clay." Heartbeats, as a metaphor for the drive of life, is part of the imagination being the engine from which the artistic universe of Miguel Milló is created, which connects with great existential problems present not only in art but in life itself and its preservation.
